Bridges

For any gaps in your smile, a dental bridge is an affordable and secure way to replace a tooth. Bridges use the teeth on either side of the gap to support the replacement tooth. Crowns are fitted over the adjacent teeth to the gap, with the new tooth attached between them.

Bridges can be used as a more secure alternative to a denture plate used to restore a single tooth. We can also use implants in place of the abutment teeth either side of the bridge if more than one tooth is missing.

Why have a bridge?

It is important to replace missing teeth in your smile, not just because it can affect your confidence. It prevents the remaining teeth from shifting out of position and causing alignment issues, needing further dental work down the line. Replacing teeth also protects the otherwise vulnerable gums.

Good oral hygiene is essential to ensure the longevity of your bridge. If well looked after, including keeping the surrounding teeth and gums healthy, a bridge should last for many years.
